NOTES:
(1) A player qualified in a particular grade may play in a higher grade provided he meets the eligibility requirements for that grade. However, if that higher grade loses whilst that player is a fresh starting player and is subsequently eliminated from the finals, that player cannot return to the lower grade.
(2) A player used as a DH is considered a starter, but not counted as a fresh player. Thus, a player used as a DH during the final series is considered a starter in the particular side in which the player is used as a DH, such that if the player is used as a DH in a higher grade, and that higher grade is eliminated from the finals, Note 1 would preclude the player from returning to the lower grade in which the player might have been qualified for the following finals game.
(3) There are normally no concessions for any players who have not played the minimum number of games to qualify in any grade unless they fall into the category of the disability/ illness clause (see Rule 15 [d]) and players representing the ACT. Any requests for dispensation must be cleared by the Board no later than one calendar month prior to the commencement of the final series.
[i] If a club has been informed of an ineligible player and subsequently plays that player knowing they are in contravention of the Rules, that club will be fined $100.00 and forfeit that game. Until the fine is paid no other of their teams will be allowed to play in the final series and the club will be deemed un-financial to the ACTBA.
(6) Players representing the ACT at any tournaments ie for Australia, ABL, Claxton Shield, Provincial, National and Masters coinciding with regular season scheduled games will be granted game credits forthe duration of the tournament. The player will receive game credits for the Grade in which he/she last played prior to the tournament.
